Marketing Engineering UNALIKE Any Other

Laptop displaying code in a focused workspace

Most marketing agencies can write you a campaign. Most software shops can build you an app. Very few can do both, which is the gap Marketing Engineering fills. We are the engineers embedded inside a marketing agency, the people who write the integration, ship the custom tool, wire the attribution, and make the AI feature actually work in production. If your marketing program needs software that doesn't exist yet, or your existing software needs to talk to your existing marketing stack, that is the work we do.

Our day-to-day covers APIs (Google Ads, Meta Business, ServiceTitan, Buildium, QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Twilio, FollowUpBoss, WhatConverts), frameworks (Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python), data (Postgres, Supabase, Prisma), and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini). If you recognize those names you are in the right place. If you don't, we will translate.

What Marketing Engineering Is Not

We want to be specific about the boundary because the category gets blurred. Marketing Engineering is not a WordPress site with a contact form. It is not a Zapier zap that pings Slack when a lead comes in. It is not a MarTech consulting engagement where we tell you which vendors to buy. And it is not a Webflow rebuild of your existing marketing site.

Marketing Engineering is a software-development engagement scoped to a marketing outcome. A calculator built into your site so prospects self-qualify before they book a call. A data pipeline that scrapes local-market pricing every week and updates your landing pages automatically. A custom admin that lets your team publish 200 city-and-service pages from a spreadsheet. A conversion-tracking reconciliation layer that shows you which Google Ads clicks actually turned into booked revenue in your PMS. Real code, real databases, real uptime.

Custom Tools Embedded In Your Site

This is the most common engagement. A prospect lands on your site, answers a few questions, and sees a report tailored to them before any human responds. It is the highest-converting lead format we have shipped, every qualified visitor gets value on the first visit and self-identifies as a serious prospect.

Tools we have built and shipped live:

  • Interactive pricing calculators with line-item editing, percentage and dollar toggles, vacancy-rate modelling, and schema-tagged output for SEO.
  • Local-market opportunity reports that pull search volume, competitor density, and local SEO signals from DataForSEO and Google Places, then generate a plan specific to the prospect's zip code.
  • Website grading tools that run PageSpeed Insights, analyze content quality, and return a scored report with a permalink the prospect can share.
  • ROI calculators with email capture, Resend delivery, and Supabase persistence so the sales team sees every one.
  • Clause libraries and fee databases with strict, balanced, and owner-friendly variants the prospect can toggle between.

Connecting Your Stack

Most marketing programs we inherit already have software. A field-service-management system like ServiceTitan. A property-management platform like Buildium. A CRM like FollowUpBoss or Salesforce. An accounting system like QuickBooks Online. A call-tracking provider like WhatConverts. None of these tools talk to each other out of the box, which means your marketing-to-revenue attribution is broken and your team is duplicating data entry.

We fix that. Concrete integrations we have built:

  • ServiceTitan jobs, customers, and invoices synced into a Postgres warehouse with nightly reconciliation against Google Ads conversion actions.
  • Buildium leases, units, and work orders synced against QuickBooks Online so owner statements reconcile without manual journal entries.
  • FollowUpBoss lead stages automatically written back to Google Ads as conversion actions with per-stage value tagging so your bid strategy sees real pipeline value instead of raw lead volume.
  • WhatConverts calls classified by Anthropic Haiku for quality, sentiment, and booked-versus-not outcome, with daily digests emailed to the operations lead.
  • Square catalogs seeded from legacy ServiceTitan pricebooks, with 500+ materials and 200+ services migrated on first sync.

Programmatic SEO At Scale

If your industry has a long-tail of search demand (every city, every service, every province combination) hand-writing each page is the wrong answer. We build generators. A single data source (a keyword database, a local-market dataset, a product catalog) feeds a template, and hundreds to thousands of pages ship at once with unique, useful content on every one. Recent builds include a 1,500-page local-service site for a Prairie trades business and a multi-hundred-page programmatic site for a logistics client.

This is not content farming. Every generated page has a unique primary keyword, unique local context, unique internal links to adjacent pages, and schema markup appropriate to the service. We run each page through a validator stack before publish: specificity, geographic coherence, linking density, year-drift, and scope classification.

AI Features In Live Product

Using AI in a marketing engagement is not the same as copy-pasting from ChatGPT. Production AI features have latency budgets, cost budgets, error modes, rate limits, prompt-caching strategy, and fallback behaviour when the provider is down. We write production code that handles all of that.

Shipped AI features in current client systems:

  • Anthropic Sonnet personalization lines generated per-prospect from enriched company data at roughly three-tenths of a cent each.
  • Anthropic Haiku call-intent classification on call-tracking transcripts with daily digest to the operations lead.
  • Google Gemini structured creative analysis on competitor Meta and TikTok ads, returning Life-Force-8, mindstate, and awareness-level tags.
  • Anthropic-powered website grader that runs a full technical audit, writes the narrative report, and publishes a shareable PDF.
  • Perplexity Sonar growth-signal enrichment for outbound campaigns, pulling recent hiring announcements, funding events, and public filings.

Attribution You Can Audit

If your marketing reports and your business reality do not match, every decision downstream is wrong. The single most common engagement we run is reconciling platform-reported conversions (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok) with business-reported revenue (your CRM, your PMS, your accounting system). The answer is almost never what the platforms say.

Our default stack: Google Tag Manager for client-side events, server-side event tracking through a custom endpoint, GA4 for cross-channel reconciliation, Microsoft Clarity for session replay, RB2B or equivalent for visitor resolution, and a Postgres event warehouse that lets you query raw events directly. You get monthly reports that show platform-reported numbers, analytics-reported numbers, and our reconciliation of the two side by side.

Headless CMS And Custom Admin

For clients who have outgrown WordPress or Webflow but do not want to rebuild their marketing site every two years, we build headless content platforms. Our default is Payload 3.83 on Postgres with a custom-skinned admin tuned to the client's brand. Editors get a familiar authoring surface. Developers get a typesafe API. Marketing gets SEO-optimized URLs, redirect management, preview mode, and the ability to publish dozens of pages without a developer in the loop.

Revenue Operations, Embedded

Most of what a dedicated RevOps firm sells, we fold into a Marketing Engineering engagement. Lead-stage routing rules, MQL-to-SQL definitions, handoff protocols, conversion-value tagging, reporting dashboards, daily-digest crons. Our view is that RevOps is not a separate service, it is the operational layer that makes marketing measurable. If your pipeline needs the plumbing work, we include it here.

What We Don't Build

We tell clients what we don't do as clearly as what we do, because mismatched scope kills projects. We do not build native mobile applications. We do not train machine-learning models from scratch (we integrate hosted providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini). We do not operate real-time data warehouses at terabyte scale (we build honest Postgres-plus-cron pipelines). We do not take over your entire engineering team. If your project genuinely needs any of those, we will say so and help you find the right partner.

Start With A Scoped Pilot

The right starting engagement is usually one shipped thing. A calculator, an integration, an attribution layer, a data pipeline. We scope it tightly, quote fixed-fee, ship in four to eight weeks, and earn the next engagement on the result. Send us the one thing your marketing program needs that isn't getting built, and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right team to ship it.
